Find out if you’re right before you bet.

Ask “what if” in your own words. We find every time it happened before and shows you how it went: the odds, the median, the worst case.

How it works

From a sentence
to evidence.

  1. 01

    Say it in plain words

Type the trade the way you’d say it: the asset, the condition, how long you’d hold. Any language works.

  2. 02

    What If drafts the rules

Each part of your sentence becomes a rule you can read. If something is missing, it asks. If it can’t be checked, it says so.

  3. 03

    History answers

Every day the rules held, we buy, hold, and record what happened. You get the odds, the spread, and how much data stands behind them.

What you get

Numbers,
not vibes.

One question in, one honest answer out. Every number comes from real daily prices, and every answer says how much history it rests on.

How often it worked

The share of past entries that ended in profit over your horizon. 58% is not 90%, and we say so.

Median, not average

One +2,000% outlier makes the average lie. The median tells you the ordinary outcome.

The worst case

The entry that went worst, with its date, and the dip you’d have sat through on the way. If you can’t stomach it, you know before you buy.

9 yrsof daily history

Binance spot closes since 2017 and Hyperliquid perps since 2020: 230+ markets, memecoins included. For each coin we use whichever history runs longer, and every answer names its source.

Honest sample size

Overlapping days aren’t independent. We count episodes, split the history in half, and flag when there’s too little to trust.

ETH bought any day in 2018 was up a year later 11% of the time. Bought in 2023: 100%. The year you enter matters more than the day.

FAQs

Questions,
answered.

About the method. If something is unclear, ask the panel: it answers in plain words too.

Is this a prediction?

No. It’s a count of what happened in the past every time your conditions held. The future can differ, and the sample is often small. What If shows the odds history gives you, not a promise.

Where does the data come from?

Daily closing prices from two venues: Binance spot (since August 2017) and Hyperliquid perps (since 2020, 230+ markets including most memecoins). For each coin we take whichever history runs longer and say so in the answer. Prices are fetched directly and never adjusted; newer coins simply have less history. You can also narrow any answer to the last three years.

Why do you show episodes, not just days?

If a condition holds for 300 consecutive days, that’s 300 entries but really one stretch of the market. We count stretches that don’t overlap your holding period, and when there are fewer than ten we say the percentages are anecdotes, not odds.

What can I ask about?

Price conditions: a drop or rise in a day, above or below the 200-day average, how far below the all-time high. Any holding period, long or short, any Binance pair. Tweets, news, funding rates and stocks aren’t supported yet, and the panel will tell you when it can’t check something.

Does What If trade for me?

No. There is no wallet, no API key to your exchange, and no order ever goes out. What If answers; you decide what to do with it.

Is this financial advice?

No. Past results don’t guarantee future ones, and nothing here accounts for your situation. Use it to check an idea, not to replace your judgment.

What’s your
what if?

Free to ask. Takes a few seconds. Nothing is traded.
